Construction of stone retaining walls and improvement of the yard!
As you know, each stone object has its own history – also this: the improvement of this yard, with short breaks, took three years. Every year the owner turned to us with new ideas, which we successfully implemented together. Taking into account all the wishes of the owner, in the first year a large, beautiful retaining wall was created together with a staircase. The highest point of the retaining wall is 1.7 m and the total length is 15 m, which serves as a boundary strip in the garden and divides it into two levels. To make it easier for the occupants of the house to move from one place to another, a staircase was created in the middle of the retaining wall. Six granite stone steps were built for easier and more enjoyable climbing. In the second year, one smaller retaining wall was created together with the stairs, but this time with five steps. In the third year, a 20 m long stone strip was built along the front of the house, which serves as a boundary between the concrete pavement and the lawn of the house. The boundary strip was made of sawn / broken rectangular stone slabs with a specific width and thickness but different lengths. The retaining walls were made of broken stones in half, rectangular and sawn stone slabs. Combining sawn and broken Latvian stones together, a unique combination of stone materials was obtained, which will not leave indifferent passers-by. Also in this object, each stone was chopped and sawed with special stone tools, thus an even masonry style was obtained throughout the object. As a result, several objects were built both in the garden and near the house. As a result, the garden was divided into two levels, and the front yard of the house was arranged so that it would be easy and convenient to move around the house.
